Election Night Dinner Supports Local Family
The Italian American Club of Mahopac is organizing a grab-and-go election night dinner as a fundraiser to support a local family that was recently devastated by an unexpected death.
Christopher Roche, 56, of Carmel, was killed in a car accident Oct. 2, leaving behind his wife and seven children. According to news reports, Roche was driving on Route 6 near Sunset Boulevard and Tamarin Drive in Carmel when his pickup truck went out of control and rolled down an embankment.
Christopher was pronounced dead at the scene while his wife, Siobhan, was airlifted to Westchester Medical Center with serious injuries.
“While we pray for Siobhan and their seven children, we are asking for the community’s help in this fundraising effort,” said Linda Cefaloni, corresponding secretary of the Italian American Club of Mahopac.
On Tuesday, Nov. 3 from 4 to 8 p.m., residents may pick up a dinner that consists of pasta, meatball, sausage and peppers, and bread, from the clubhouse located at 141 Buckshollow Road, Mahopac. They may eat at the clubhouse or take their meal home.
The cost is $25 for adults or $10 for children.
