Haldane Hyped Up for Football Season

COLD SPRING – The Haldane High School football team is getting ready for this season – in more ways than one.

Not only are the Blue Devils going through unofficial workouts, conditioning, and weight training, but coach Ryan McConville found time in his busy schedule to create a slick hype video for the team for the 2026 season.

The social media production includes a poppin’ soundtrack, but McConville downplays his efforts. “The video was just my work using some free tools on my iPhone, nothing fancy,” he said.

We beg to differ.

But with official practice starting in less than three weeks, the focus is on football. That includes the annual Never Surrender football camp – a camp held just before the start of the season and usually includes local schools like Brewster, Carmel, and Mahopac.

“We work together using high-level coaching, cutting-edge drills, and a competitive environment,” said McConville. “We refine the fundamentals of tackling, enhance offensive and defensive techniques, and instill the core values of discipline, teamwork, and leadership.”

Somebody needs to get that on video.
