Nuvance Health-GoHealth Urgent Care Opens Center in Carmel

Patients can walk into the new center at 186 Route 52, Carmel, for healthcare.

Nuvance Health-GoHealth Urgent Care has opened a new center in Carmel, providing an affordable and accessible healthcare option for people who live and work in the Hudson Valley.

The new center is located in the ShopRite Plaza at 186 Route 52, near the Carmel Cinema entrance, and in the same shopping center as Nuvance Health Primary Care.

Patients can see a Nuvance Health-GoHealth urgent care provider for diagnosis and treatment of non-life-threatening illnesses or injuries, and can also receive referrals to Nuvance Health’s network of primary and specialty care providers, when necessary.

“Having easy access to high-quality care is essential for our community's health,” said Dr. Reed Idriss, medical director at Nuvance Health-GoHealth Urgent Care. “We are committed to expanding our urgent care network and are excited to open our new center in Carmel, bringing convenient and affordable care to where our patients live and work.”

The Carmel center provides care for patients age 6 months and older, offering a wide array of services for conditions including flu, fever, earaches, insect bites, sprains, simple fractures, eye injuries, and cuts requiring stitches. It is open 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. every day, including holidays.

The new location follows the openings of centers in Poughkeepsie, Kingston and Wappingers Falls, which opened last year under the new partnership. Nuvance Health-GoHealth plans to open additional centers throughout the Hudson Valley, and in Fairfield County, Conn., in 2024 and beyond.

Patients can walk into any Nuvance Health-GoHealth center or use Nuvance Health-GoHealth’s online “save-a-spot” tool, which allows patients to save time by securing their spot in line, checking in and completing registration before arriving.
