Relay for Life Forms Eastern Putnam Event

The Brewster and Patterson Relay For Life events have merged to form the Eastern Putnam Relay for the 2024 season, announced the American Cancer Society recently.

“Our newly formed Eastern Putnam Relay committee is excited to cast a wider net and bring these and other communities in Putnam together in working toward a future free from cancer,” said ACS Senior Development Manager Kate Corsitto. “All are welcome. It is together with our survivors, caregivers, volunteers and participants that we can raise awareness and FUNdraise to support our mission to end cancer as we know it, for everyone.”

Relay For Life of Eastern Putnam will take place Saturday, June 8 from 3 to 10 p.m. at the Brewster High School. The day will showcase a complimentary survivor dinner donated by Aversano’s Restaurant, as well as a DJ, local entertainment and bands, Zumba, vendors, a silent auction, handbag bingo and other various activities.

Reflect and remember those lost as you walk the track, and commence the evening with the signature luminaria ceremony as participants pay tribute and remember all who have previously fought, and those who continue the fight cancer.

Anyone and everyone is invited to start a fundraising team – survivors, caregiverw, teachers, students, businesses, local officials, families, churches and other faith organizations, etc. Get started at relayforlife.org/EasternPutnamNY.

In addition, Relay For Life of Greater Danbury is scheduled May 4, Relay For Life of Mahopac is scheduled June 1, and Relay For Life of Yorktown is scheduled June 14.
